HousingPlus's Benefit celebrated some of the most ardent activists and community leaders working to create meaningful change across our broken legal system.
On June 13, HousingPlus hosted the "Women & Healing from the Legal System" benefit, an evening of action and activation, in support of creating meaningful change and healing from a broken legal system.
Several Collective Leadership Institute members and alumni were honored at the event including Reverend Sharon White-Harrigan and Fox Rich as recipients of the Good Person Award and current cohort member Leah Faria as the recipient of the Community Justice Leadership Award. Our Right/Write to Heal Program Manager Roz Smith was also given the Community Justice Leadership Award. These awards were presented to them by our co-founder Cheryl Wilkins and CLI alum Yolanda Peterkin-Johnson.
